annual physical

After we finished our annual physical, Doctor asked us to go back to get our report in 4 weeks. We thought it was part of our annual physical, so we went. After that we got a bill from doctor and charged that trip as second doctor visit which is not covered by insurance. He didn’t tell us that we could also get the report by mail. Do I have the right to know that he was going to charge us before the 2nd trip? Can I refuse to pay?

This is a tricky situation. There are times that a follow up visit is covered depending on the time when the second visit occurred. Without reviewing your EOB’s it is hard to give great advice.

I highly recommend you contact a claims assistance professional near you to review the case.
