On March 27, my husband of 42 years had a heart attack and died. After three calls to 9ll, the ambulance finally arrived and unsuccessfully tried to revive him. After about 45 minutes, they drove him to the hospital and I followed. I was placed in a small room and given a paper to sign for organ donation. I then left.
I received a bill from the hospital for $15,000!!! We are uninsured because my husband lost his job. I can’t pay this and I don’t feel I should.
