Last Dec 2010 I went to the ER on the advice of a nurse at a private clinic. I was having minor chest discomfort and slight trouble with breathing. I went to the er thinking it would be less than 400.00 if nothing was wrong. Nothing was wrong and There was never any mention of what the bill would be, but when it came it was 2200.00 less a non insured discount of about 500.00. I now owe about 1600.00 and need to know how to go about disputing it or if I even have the right to dispute it. Ive paid less for broken arms, all that was done was testing and some xrays. I was there for 3 hours or less. I am grateful for the service, but don’t want to be taken advantage of. any good advise is awsome!
