My husband had a OUTPATIENT SURGERY (Removal of anal fissure) and we got billed by 4 separate service providers. (1) Surgeon: $1008 ($269 after insurance); (2) Hospital: $10,555 ($1793 after ins); (3) Anesthesia procedure: $1572; (4) EKG procedure: $75 ($7 after ins). Doctor’s bill and other procedures are all separate then why the hospital bill is so high? It was an outpatient surgery and we stayed there only for 4 hours. Somebody please tell me if these amount sound right.
